Long Term Installation - Reclamation Station
This piece is the culminating work of the past few months. it combines conceptual and technical aspects from all of the previous projects, as well as featuring five poems (transcriptions below) I wrote in response to our readings earlier in the semester. Every single piece of the installation was salvaged/ reused in some way. As beautiful as art is, there's a tendency to create waste. so instead I grabbed things from trash day, and reconfigured them into what is effectively an open studio/ listening room. All of the poems continue (in reality they lead) the theme of claiming and reclaiming.
