30 Minute Exterior

This piece is a semi-solid barrier between different realities of life. Gender roles are abstracted in the use of wood and nails in opposition to both flowing and taught fabrics. The general form is reminiscent of the frame of a house before it's insulated and livable. no matter how much tension it is under, every piece moves in the wind/ when the frame is repositioned, thus making anywhere from a subtle to sizable amount of noise. Standing just taller than the average man (aprox. 6' 6"), it has an imposing but slightly human presence. Depending on the current location of the frame it can provide a small amount of shelter, make an entirely new space, or be a direct obstruction of daily life. All materials were recycled/ reclaimed from past projects.

Materials: Wood, Screws, Fabric, Masking tape
